When Franklin Delano Roosevelt was President back in the 1930’s the concept of a National Retirement Program was an interesting concept which proved to be fair, at least for a short period. However, the Social Security program, just like almost every other US Government program, wandered far off its original course. The poor management of this falsely created American retirement fund, which was controlled by the U.S. Federal Government right from the beginning, along with their questionable accounting system, has led to the demise of the American Social Security System today. This event was inevitable. Now, it will take a little proper accounting to show why but here is the proof as to when this demise actually lies.

Libraries Should Be No More

The historical purpose of libraries has really changed over the last millennium or two or should we say three. Libraries have evolved from being upper class educational learning and sharing centers, where only the educated, formal and informal, and wealthy were allowed in, all to the way to the present day system of being easy and low cost information and entertainment access centers for anyone who would want to benefit from these new library services. The formal education centers of the past certainly have changed. Today in the U.S.A. most libraries are not even closely related to being the needed education centers they are often considered to be. Hence, it is important to rethink the purpose and use of such facilities and in turn to give back to the taxpayers, who cover the related costs, the rights to make all related decisions as to what needs to be done. And once the taxpayers are made aware of what is going on they certainly will choose this approach.

A New American Education System

The American Education System of today is a failure and is even worse since the Bush Administration came up with the “No Child Left Behind Act” of 2001, reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act”. It is terribly obvious that that these acts along with the rest of the current American Education System’s rules and regulations must be replaced with something that is far more efficient, more productive and less costly. Without question the supposed focus of the American system of education must not be the existing numbers game where something which has been out of control for over one generation is still out of control after spending record per-student amounts of the taxpayer’s money. What ever happened to meeting the basic needs of education? The American Education System should have the primary purpose of improving the knowledge of the children of those who were poorly educated to start and be doing so in such a way that there could actually be a very high rate of return related to the investments involved.
